Jewish Shanghai

Shanghai’s vibrant Jewish life dates back over 100 years, contributing to the city's development and blueprint. While Shanghai has a remarkable Jewish history, Jewish life in the city continues today through Kehilat Shanghai. We are humbled to keep Jewish tradition and culture alive in Shanghai today!

Kehilat Shanghai organizes monthly Shabbat dinners in various locations around Shanghai, including at home Shabbats. Come for the challah, stay for the vibe.

We also organize regular drinks nights and family events. We gather as a community to celebrate holidays, bnei mitzvahs, and other life cycle events.
